Electrical Supervisor

Spencer Ogden are currently seeking an Site Supervisor with an electrical background to support one of our global OEM clients in Singapore on a large scale water reclamation project.

This opportunity would be suitable for someone who already has a basic experience with site supervision on as OEM or contractor level and is seeking to enhance their skills further.

As Site Supervisor, you will be given responsibility to oversee a multitude of tasks including the vendor management, system delivery, installation, commissioning, handover and maintenance of the electrical systems, such  Bypass, ATS and UPS systems. Whilst also ensuring site works are completed to a high level and in line with the relevant quality and safety guidelines. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Electrical lead in the project and to drive vendors and client for the electrical system design and approval.
    Be the main interface in the project with the client and other contractors in ensuring that all required information are clearly communicated, received and documented.

  • To lead and review the Design of the UPS and UPS Distribution from vendors to ensure compliance to Contract’s specification

  • To provide the computation of the voltage drop computation and cable sizing recommendation to ensure compliance to the regulatory requirement

  • Review and preparation of the contractual documentation (including FAT, SAT procedure, Method Statement, Risk Assessment, cable schedule, installation requirement, BOM generation, etc), of which some are provided by the vendor.

  • Proactive Monitor and resolution of all technical issues from the electrical system design, installation and commissioning progress, etc between the vendor and client

  • Work closely and proactively with the Installation contractor, vendors and client to ensure smooth installation and commissioning of the system.

  • Active review of the interface requirement between other packages to ensure a smooth coordination between the various parties in the project team.

  • Take the lead in the installation & commissioning work until successful start up and handover.

  • Support the post commissioning maintenance of the electrical system, with support from vendor when required, and system troubleshooting as required.

  • Occasional Travel to vendor’s office will be required.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Diploma/Bachelor degree in Engineering or similar field.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in electrical system design, site installation and Commissioning work, involving Electrical System at a construction site

  • Candidate with LEW license will have an added advantages.

  • Preferably equipped with the necessary Singapore Regulatory certifications required for working in construction site

  • Familiar with the local regulatory and project requirement for construction work in Singapore

  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to relevant work safety guidelines.

Contract details:

  • Contract Duration : As soon as possible - August 2026 (15 months duration)

  • Work Location : Tuas, Singapore
    Shuttle bus transportation will be provided from Tuas Crescent MRT to the site.

  • Working Hours : Weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm
