Senior Project Manager – Land Development
Location: Los Angeles, California
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with extensive land development experience. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, motivated to do more, and can work well independently and on a team. Our civil engineers are known for their strong technical design skills and being well-versed in all phases of land development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the firm in client meetings, determine Scope of Work, prepare fees, conduct site investigations, establish schedules, and prepare and finalize proposals.
- Achieve success of profit center through management of and participation in team design, production, quality, training, and employee performance.
- Contribute to regional and company decision-making and growth planning via regular meetings.
- Provide positive leadership and initiate innovative thinking within the region and the company.
- Manage up to two Project Managers and directly supervise up to four non-supervisory employees.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in business development for prospective clients.
- Supervise plan preparation, technical reports, cost estimates, and other client deliverables.
- Track project budgets, provide billing instructions and change order requests, prepare invoices, and negotiate and finalize back charges.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience as a Project Manager.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and team-building skills, with the ability to manage a land development project from start to finish (entitlements through construction support).
- Certification: PE certification required.

- Approved salary range, dependent on experience: $145k to $175k
