Job Title: HSE Professional - Utility Solar Project
Location: Licking County, Ohio
Project Duration:12 months (with potential for extension)
Start Date: February 24, 2025 (project mobilizes February 17 - so shooting for February 24 start)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HSE Professional to join our team on a large-scale utility solar project in Licking County, Ohio. This position will focus on ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical safety, crane work, trenching, excavation, and solar energy projects, with experience in an owner's representative role.
Key Responsibilities:
-Health, Safety, and Environmental Oversight: Ensure all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, trenching and excavation safety, and electrical safety (especially in crane operations) are followed.
- Owner’s Representative Serve as the HSE point of contact, working closely with contractors to ensure safety standards are upheld.
- Safety Training & Compliance Conduct and/or coordinate safety training, inspections, and audits. Manage site-specific safety documentation.
-Project Reporting: Report to the Project Manager, Chris, and provide regular updates on safety compliance, incidents, and safety performance metrics.
- Mobilization/Demobilization
- Staffing and Budget Support: Support contractor staffing on-site, working with project controllers to manage budget and staffing concerns.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles, with a focus on utility-scale solar projects, electrical safety (including crane work), and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge in trenching and excavation safety, solar project safety requirements, and crane operations.
- Self-Starter: Ability to manage work independently and proactively identify safety issues. Comfortable in a management/owner’s representative capacity.
- Travel Flexibility: Must be available for regular site visits and travel, with flexibility for on-site support. (Travel requirements include mobility for the entire project duration, with per diem provided for the duration of work.)
Project Details:
- Project Size: ~600 acres, 100 MW utility-scale solar.
- Contract Length: 12 months, with potential for extension.
- Per Diem: $150/day
- Rotation Schedule: Once per month, home rotation.
