Protection Engineer

The Team
The Operations team specializes in developing, deploying, and maintaining global resources and capabilities to support execution and process excellence across the organization. The Buildings Mechanical team focuses on HVAC, Fire Protection, and Plumbing design for a variety of solutions within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding and application of state and local codes and standards (e.g., IBC, IFC, NFPA, etc.).
• Proactively manage and communicate fire protection requirements to both internal and external clients on assigned projects.
• Produce code and hazard analysis review documents, detailed fire protection specifications, piping and instrument diagrams, and hydraulic calculations.
• Review sprinkler and alarm drawings/calculations for accuracy and compliance with relevant codes.
• Communicate with city and local officials, applying for variances as needed.
• Independently apply knowledge to maintain a culture that supports quality implementation.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and policies, and promote a culture of safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program, either in the home country or the country of practice.
• At least 8 years of related work experience.
• Applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected), including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License required.
