Our client, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and driven Grid Connection - Technical Lead for its Future Grid Centre of Excellence (COE) in Madrid or London. This high-level technical role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead the grid integration strategy for cutting-edge renewable energy technologies and help expand our footprint in the global market.


Your Mission:

  • Be at the forefront of grid integration, providing strategic leadership for innovative Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Hydrogen products in multiple global markets.
  • Ensure products meet the highest compliance standards while spearheading technical developments for global expansion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Grid Integration Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for the seamless integration of products into global power grids, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with international regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and nurture a team of engineers, driving collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. Lead recruitment efforts and foster a strong, dynamic team culture.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide high-level technical expertise to navigate complex grid connection challenges, collaborating globally with R&D to enhance and create future-ready products.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in key markets. Work with regulatory bodies to streamline compliance processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred).
  • Extensive experience in grid connection engineering, network planning, and operations, particularly within the renewable energy sector.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical grid systems, power system stability, and global grid codes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance protocols.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
