1 Hour outside of Tulsa
Pay: $52/hr Max

Schedule : 5/10's, no more than 60 hours max per week
Mobilization/Demobilization: 1st and last trip $1500
Monthly per diem: $5,100 (must be out of town)
Truck monthly allowance: $1500
Per Diem: $5100 monthly
Monthly trip home: $500/monthly
Laptop/Cell Allowance: $220/ monthly
Position Summary:
Leeward Renewable Energy is looking for an experienced Electrical/HV Owner's Representative – Quality Inspector to oversee and ensure the quality of electrical installations, particularly high-voltage (HV) systems, for our renewable energy projects. In this role, you will act as the Owner's Representative on-site, inspecting electrical and HV work to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with contractors, engineers, and the project management team to ensure that quality standards are met, risks are mitigated, and project timelines are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections of electrical installations, including high-voltage (HV) systems, to ensure compliance with project designs, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Inspect and verify installation and testing of electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, inverters, and HV cables.
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning inspections of HV systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety of all electrical components.
- Verify that all electrical materials and equipment conform to quality standards and have the necessary certifications.
- Review and interpret electrical design plans, schematics, and specifications to ensure that construction activities align with approved documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to address quality-related issues or non-conformances.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities, such as insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, and high-potential (hi-pot) tests on HV equipment and cables.
- Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports, highlighting any quality concerns, deficiencies, and corrective actions taken.
- Ensure that all electrical and HV installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain up-to-date records of inspections, tests, and audits for project documentation and quality control purposes.
- Provide input during construction meetings and collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in the field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical quality inspection, specifically with high-voltage (HV) systems, within the construction or renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and HV codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NESC).
- Experience with electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities, particularly for high-voltage equipment.
- Experience in renewable energy projects (wind, solar, energy storage) is highly preferred.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and relevant quality control software tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring high standards of quality.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Certifications:
- Certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), International Electrical Testing Association (NETA), or equivalent is preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification or equivalent is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including exposure to outdoor environments.
- Capable of standing, walking, and climbing ladders/scaffolds for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required for inspection activities.
