Position: Civil/Structural Owner’s Representative - Quality Inspector
Location: Mayes County Projects
1 Hour outside of Tulsa
Schedule : 5/10's, no more than 60 hours max per week
Mobilization/Demobilization: 1st and last trip $1500
Monthly per diem: $5,100 (must be out of town)
Truck monthly allowance: $1500
Per Diem: $5100 monthly
Monthly trip home: $500/monthly
Laptop/Cell Allowance: $220/ monthly
Position Overview:
The Civil/Structural Owner’s Representative - Quality Inspector will be responsible for overseeing the quality and integrity of civil and structural components on Leeward Renewable Energy projects. This role ensures compliance with contract documents, industry standards, and project specifications. The position involves close coordination with contractors, engineers, and the Owner’s project management team to deliver high-quality renewable energy facilities. The Quality Inspector will primarily focus on civil and structural quality assurance and control activities, reporting on progress, and identifying any areas of concern to ensure project milestones are met.
Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Control:
- Oversee all civil and structural aspects of the project, including earthworks, foundations, steel structures, concrete works, and general site construction.
- Ensure that all work complies with the project’s quality control plan, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform regular inspections, audits, and testing of civil and structural components to verify they meet contract specifications and industry codes.

Field Inspections:
- Conduct daily inspections of ongoing construction activities to verify conformance with project drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Identify potential quality issues early and work closely with contractors and the Owner’s project team to resolve them promptly.
- Document all non-conformances and work with contractors to implement corrective actions.

Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections, tests, and construction activities in accordance with Leeward Renewable Energy's documentation standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports summarizing findings and outlining any corrective actions or areas of concern.
- Provide visual documentation, including photographs and inspection logs, for quality reporting and ensure records are uploaded to the project database (e.g., SharePoint).

Collaboration with Project Teams:
- Interface with Leeward’s internal project management team, contractors, and external consultants to resolve any civil or structural quality issues.
- Attend project meetings and report on the quality performance of contractors and any risks or delays identified.
- Support the review and approval of contractor submittals related to civil and structural works.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance:
- Work with the project’s HSE team to ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local environmental regulations.
- Ensure that contractors adhere to the project's environmental management plan, including erosion control and proper waste disposal practices.

Regulatory and Industry Standards:
- Ensure construction activities meet all applicable local, state, and national building codes, as well as industry-specific guidelines for civil and structural engineering.
- Verify that all materials, processes, and installations conform to the project’s design criteria and Leeward's specifications.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certification, or Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in civil/structural inspection roles within the renewable energy, power generation, or heavy civil construction industries.
- Experience working on large-scale solar, wind, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction practices, materials testing, and quality control processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with construction teams, contractors, and engineering consultants.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documenting construction progress and quality issues.
- Ability to work independently in the field and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, walk long distances on construction sites, and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed.
