Job Title: Project Manager – Water Infrastructure

Job Description:

Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client's Water Infrastructure Practice in Southern California. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative stormwater planning, engineering, and design projects that address California’s integrated water supply and flood management challenges. As a key member of our team, you’ll work on multidisciplinary projects that deliver stormwater management, flood mitigation, water quality improvements, and climate resilience solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead project teams in developing planning, design, permitting, and construction documents for stormwater and flood mitigation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a national team of experts, sub-consultants, and engineering disciplines to scope projects, prepare technical reports, and develop design documents.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their professional growth while ensuring project excellence.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, managing relationships, supporting sales efforts, and understanding their project needs to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical expertise in stormwater management, flood mitigation, water quality, and climate change projects, while contributing to business development and project scoping efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15+ years of engineering experience, preferably within the consulting field, with a strong background in stormwater management, flood mitigation, site grading, and drainage projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field is required.
  • Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California is required.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of Los Angeles County, California, and Federal environmental regulations, with experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project management, client relations, and business development within the water infrastructure sector.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
