Job Summary: As a Licensed Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with state regulations and safety standards, delivering projects that meet our clients’ needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Develop detailed designs and engineering plans for various projects, including land/site development, water/wastewater systems, transportation infrastructure, and other civil engineering projects.
  • Project Management: Oversee all stages of project lifecycle from conceptualization to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations and codes. Prepare and review engineering documents, specifications, and reports to ensure compliance.
  • Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide technical advice and solutions. Build and maintain long-standing relationships with clients.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions.
  • Field Work: Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated with the latest engineering trends, technologies, and best practices. Propose innovative solutions and improvements to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record of successful project management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design tools. Strong understanding of engineering principles and standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
