**Overview:**
Fluence Energy is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team. The Quality Control Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in our energy storage products. **Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Quality Inspection:** Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, components, and finished products to verify adherence to quality standards and specifications.
2. **Testing and Analysis:** Perform functional and performance testing on energy storage systems and components using a variety of testing equipment and procedures.
3. **Documentation and Reporting:** Maintain accurate records of inspection and test results, documenting any deviations or non-conformities observed. Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
4. **Root Cause Analysis:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and troubleshoot quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. **Process Improvement:** Continuously evaluate and improve quality control processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
6. **Compliance Assurance:** Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to quality and safety.
7. **Supplier Relations:** Interface with suppliers to communicate quality requirements, resolve quality-related issues, and drive supplier quality improvement initiatives.
8. **Training and Support:** Provide training and support to production and engineering teams on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
9. **Quality Culture:** Promote a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement and accountability.
**Qualifications:**
- 1.5-3+ years of solar quality experience at a minimum, BESS experience preferred Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in the energy storage, electrical, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools, such as statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and UL certifications.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and software applications for quality inspection and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
