Onshore Engineer x2

Spencer Ogden is partnered with an Oil & Gas company specializing in maintenance of electrical & mechanical equipment on drilling rigs. My clients are looking for an Onshore Engineer to maintain this equipment on offshore and land rigs across Southeast Asia.

Job description:
  • Keep Things Running Smoothly: Perform maintenance, service, and repairs on our equipment, ensuring everything operates flawlessly while following our guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot Like a Pro: Dive into diagnosing issues as directed by your line manager, using your expertise to find solutions.
  • Document Your Success: Fill out asset job cards detailing the work you've completed, keeping everything organized and up-to-date.
  • Pre-Mobilization Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections and testing of company assets before they hit the field, ensuring all paperwork is in order.
  • Assess Returned Assets: Inspect equipment that comes back to us, documenting any damages or concerns in line with our procedures.
  • Tool Safety Champion: Use all provided tools safely and correctly, setting an example for the team.
  • Maintain a Safe Workspace: Keep our workshop and yard clean and organized, reporting any safety issues or improvements to your manager.
  • Mentor the Next Generation: Support and guide junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise as needed.
  • Engage in Safety Culture: Contribute to toolbox talks and safety meetings, promoting a culture of safety and awareness.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to risk assessments and report any health, safety, environmental, or quality issues promptly.
  • Regional Equipment Service: Inspect, service, and repair rental equipment locally and across the Asia region.

Job requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance of motors, compressors or mechanical steam equipment.
  • Degree in Engineering is essential. Fresh graduates with CGPA above 3.5 are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to travel frequently across Southeast Asia and do physical work both onshore and offshore.
  • Ability to be based onsite in Singapore. For Malaysians, work permit will be arranged.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Physically fit for offshore work.
