Below we explore what led us to our nominations.
Within our corporate purpose ‘creating careers to power a sustainable future’ we look beyond the commercial to endorse CSR integration across our business to support our values. Since 2023, we have undergone a strategy transformation to integrate CSR into our long-term strategy aimed at becoming the global Sustainability Staffing Leader (SSL) by:
Working towards our net-zero goal
Aligning our PACE values (People, Accountability, Collaboration, Excellence) with our vision of supporting our people and creating social impact by pledging to donate £3 for every peer-to-peer recognition to supporting rainforest communities through our charity partner Cool Earth.
Similarly, increasing support to Seven Clean Seas, pledging to remove 1kg of plastic for every placement made globally, as well as investing in collaborative volunteering initiatives with SCS and our local Singapore team.
We established an ESG committee to oversee our CSR programme, appointing regional representatives to bridge communication and drive engagement consistently among the entire business.
Our IMPACT ESG newsletter, established a communication channel between our CSR strategy and our global networks and will be released every quarter
We integrate CSR into our PACE day. Usually an opportunity to celebrate the year’s performance, SO has pledged to implement volunteering, fundraising, and reviews against our SSL objective on these days
The strategy’s contribution to our commercial goals has been clear. Ethical practice, social impact, and sustainable development are now recognised as fundamental features of our commercial business model. They’ve increased our business in target markets, led to us being recognised by the International CSR Awards for our innovative approach to charitable giving, and contributed to increasing placements within sustainable markets.
We have developed unique opportunities and support mechanisms to enable our employees to create significant social impact through volunteering.
Our vision encompasses our goal to empower employees to create their own social impact both internally and externally through providing a platform for volunteering, offering 4 volunteering days a year and supporting volunteering in line with the SSL objective. We saw the opportunity to make an impact to our employees and external communities and embraced the following as initiatives to promote that:
Participation and awareness of volunteering, both internally and externally, has increased significantly since we introduced a targeted employee volunteering strategy.
We are excited to have received this external recognition for our CSR strategy and employee volunteerism and look forward to the ceremony.
