Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description:
Spencer Ogden is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to contribute to a variety of civil engineering projects, including commercial, industrial, residential development, and public works facility improvements. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from grading and roadway layout to underground utility design, stormwater management, and more. You’ll be responsible for developing project design concepts, creating plans, reports, and specifications, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. In addition, you’ll play a key role in client and agency communication, project management, and staff training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop design concepts, plans, reports, and specifications for civil engineering projects.
- Work on grading, roadway geometric layout, underground utility design, and stormwater management.
- Prepare erosion and sediment control plans, SWPPPs, and low impact design solutions.
- Manage drainage system design, hydrology and hydraulics design, and cost estimating.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients and agency staff.
- Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines.
- Train and guide design and production staff.
Specific Experience:
- General Civil Engineering, including report preparation, improvement plans, and cost estimates for land development projects.
- Grading and drainage design, stormwater regulations, low impact development, and the entitlement process.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- California professional registration.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D 2024.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $85,000 - $115,000, depending on experience.
